Renovation debris cleanup at the end of a remodel

The last part of a remodel that nobody planned for: bagging the leftovers, clearing the rooms and driveway, and hauling the final load.

End-of-project cleanup

  • Leftover drywall, trim and offcuts
  • Old cabinets, vanities and appliances' packaging
  • Boxes, wrap and pallets from deliveries
  • Bagging loose debris and sweeping rooms
  • Clearing the driveway and side yard

When cleanup becomes its own job

Contractors clean up as they go, but most remodels still end with a pile: offcuts, packaging from new appliances and cabinets, old fixtures the plumber pulled, and a garage full of boxes. Homeowners want the rooms usable again before furniture goes back in.

This service differs from a straight haul because of the small stuff. Bagging loose debris, picking up screws and scraps, and sweeping takes as long as loading the big pieces.

Property managers and flippers call for the same reason between trades: the painter can't start until the floor is clear.

What's in and out of scope

  • Packaging, boxes, foam and pallets
  • Sweeping and vacuuming the rooms we cleared

How the job runs

  1. Walk us through it

Which rooms, what's left, and whether the floors are finished or still bare.

  2. Price range

Based on volume plus the time to bag and sweep.

  3. Bag, carry, sweep

Debris is bagged and carried out, and the cleared rooms are broom-swept.

  4. Final haul

Everything is hauled the same visit; recyclable cardboard and metal are separated when the facility accepts them.

Before we come

Set aside anything the contractor is coming back for, like spare tile, paint for touch-ups and leftover flooring, and tell us what stays.

If new floors are in, let us know so the crew protects them along the carry path.

Renovation Debris Cleanup questions

Do you clean windows and fixtures too?

No. We clear and haul debris and broom-sweep the rooms. Detailed construction cleaning is a separate cleaning service.

Can you come between trades?

Yes. Tell us the date the next trade starts and we'll work to fit before it, subject to the schedule that week.

What happens to the cardboard and packaging?

Clean cardboard is kept apart for recycling when the receiving facility accepts it. Foam and wrap usually go with the general load.

Do you take leftover paint?

No. Paint, stain and solvents are household hazardous waste in California. San Diego County and its cities run drop-off programs for them.

Got a pile? Get it priced.

Tell us what the material is, roughly how much there is, and where it sits. A few photos sent by text usually get you a price range on the first call.

  • What it is: concrete, drywall, shingles, lumber, flooring or a mix
  • How much: a pickup load, a few loads, a room's worth
  • Where it sits: driveway, backyard, inside, upstairs
  • Gate codes, steep driveways or tight streets we should know about
